Sweet Tea Design creates and manages many types of conventional web sites. Conventional sites are created in Dreamweaver using HTML and CSS. These basic sites, also referred to as "Brochure Web Sites," have only a few pages and are only updated occasionally. This is the perfect solution for small businesses or organizations that simply want to promote their experience, services and contact information.
Drupal Site for Art Gallery
We designed this site for Color Wheel Gallery, a Minneapolis-based art gallery and gift shop. The owner wanted a user-friendly site that would be easy for her to add and update both text and images. The Drupal 6 site has an event calendar, a blog, image galleries, featured products and a newsletter.
Web Site for Real Estate Company
This web site for Sandy Green Realty was created and is partially maintained by Sweet Tea Design. Using the client's logo, we created a site that is easy to navigate.
The site has to be updated often with new properties and information. It was designed to be easily updated with new content and images, passing on cost savings to client. The layout accomodates pages with varying levels of images and copy.
This site is no longer in use.
Web Site for University Program
This is a site for the Human Rights Program at the University of Minnesota. It was created, but is not maintained by Sweet Tea Design.
The site needed to be able to present a lot of content in an organized manner. So, we set up "Quick Links" in the right column to help users quickly navigate to relevant or popular information.
It also had to meet the University of Minnesota's requirements for all program and departmental websites, which include the maroon bar and its contents across the top.
As part of the branding program, we created a coordinating brochure with a poster that can be downloaded from the site. The purpose of the brochure was to promote the diverse mission of the HRP. The design incorporated a poster (featuring a famous quote about human rights) in hopes it would be displayed and therefore remain with the target audience for a longer time than standard brochures.
This site is no longer in use.
Web Site for Law Firm
This conventional website for Kim Hunter & Associates was created and is maintained by Sweet Tea Design. The immigration law firm had a logo that they'd been using, but we helped polish it and create an entire look that has been applied to business cards and ads.
This site needed to be extremely user-friendly. Since most clients come to the firm's offices, the site features an easy-to-understand map and detailed directions in a downloadable pdf format. Since the office is in a larger office building, we even added a photo of the building to give clients an extra visual clue that they are in the right place.
All copy for the site was created by Kim Hunter & Associates. All photography was coordinated by Sweet Tea Design.
Drupal Web Site for Environmental Nonprofit
We developed this Drupal 5 website for Women's Environmental Institute, but are not involved in the day-to-day maintenance.
This site required substantial space for all the events, workshops and educational opportunites WEI sponsors each year. Additional focus needed to be on the various projects and programs they coordinate.
Drupal was the perfect solution for WEI. Staff members and program coordinators have unique usernames and passwords that allow them to add, delete and update copy and images. Events can be easily added to the calendar and event listing at the same time.
The site also has multiple easy-to-maintain mailing lists, one of which you can subscribe to on the main page!
Drupal Web Site for Regional Nonprofit
This Drupal 6 web site was created but is not maintained by Sweet Tea Design. Midwest Coalition for Human Rights wanted their site to be news-focused; but also have ways to engage the public, students, nonprofits and academics; showcase their work; and further build the coaltion.
The homepage features recent news stories, an event calendar and list of upcoming events. We also designed a logo, business card and brochure for MCHR.
Drupal site for Real Estate Development
Located in South Minneapolis, Spirit on Lake Housing Cooperative units are marketed to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people who are older, but still independent.
This site had three major components. 1) to feature all of the amenities of the complex, 2) to explain how a cooperative works and how it is financed, and 3) display each of the 15 floorplans.
Because the site was built in Drupal, the marketing coordinator of the development could easily update the content of the site including the meeting date and times, construction news, and remaining availability.
